Make a Pringles Can Gift Box
A Recycled Craft Project!
What do perfume, chocolate-dipped pretzel rods, a USB stick, and gift certificates have in common? They can all be wrapped in a Pringles can gift box!

Wrapping a Pringles can is quick and easy and is a great way to recycle. It's a win, win situation! Make it unique to the recipient of your gift by the paper you choose. You could use wrapping paper, but I like the variety of beautiful scrapbook papers available. You can wrap a Pringles can gift box for around a $1.00, if you get 2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper for .50 cents each. You only need a few supplies for this recycled crafts project.

- empty, wiped out Pringles can
- 2 sheets of 12 x 12 coordinating scrapbook paper
- couple scraps of paper for tag
- 7-8 inch length of 1/8 inch ribbon to match
- 2 decorative brads (optional)
Tools you will need:

- paper trimmer (best) or scissors
- small hole punch
- tape runner or double sided tape
Making Gift Boxes from Pringles Cans
To begin, use a paper trimmer or scissors, to trim the paper to 8-13/16 inches long (from top to bottom of can) by 10 inches wide (to wrap around the can). Apply tape runner or double sided tape along 1 8-13/16 inch edge of the cut paper. Carefully wrap it around the can and press the tape down. You may need to try it a couple of times to get it to wrap straight. If there is a gap at the bottom, don't worry about it; you will cover it in the next step. Just make sure there is no gap at the top. Repeat this measuring and wrapping procedure with smaller strips of coordinating paper. Cut the bottom strip 3 inches x 10 inches, and the top strip 1 inch by 10 inches. Attach the 3 inch strip along the bottom of the can. Attach the 1 inch strip about 2 1/4 inches from the top of the can.
