Craft Beads Jars Show Your Beads Off!
While sifting through my collection of craft beads one day, I thought what a shame that these beautiful beads where hidden away in plastic boxes. The only time I saw them was when I wanted to work on bead projects.
Suddenly inspiration struck. Several years ago I had purchased an old spice rack with glass bottles. The spice rack was no good, but I bought it for the bottles. When I got them home, however, the bottles didn't fit in my spice rack, so I filed them away in a corner of the basement. I had almost gotten rid of them during a mucking out of the basement, but luckily, in my cleaning zeal, I held on to them.

I headed to the basement, unearthed them, cleaned them up, decorated them, and filled them with beads. They now sit on my kitchen windowsill, where the sunlight hits them and makes them sparkle. It almost makes doing dishes there a pleasure...at least it's a nice distraction! This bead crafts project would make terrific homemade gifts for your crafty friends! You could even fill a bigger jar with a variety of beads. Think home decor, and match the beads to your room colors. A jar full of beads, set on a coffee or side table, where the sunlight will catch them, would be gorgeous. I think I'm going to have to buy more craft beads! This is a very simple project. You will need the following supplies: - glass jar(s) - any size that will work with the amount of beads you are using
- craft beads
- ribbon - measure and cut to fit the throat of your jar with a half inch overlap
- thread to match ribbon
- needle

Optional - If you want to hang some beads from the ribbon as I did here you will also need:- earring head pin for each jar
- beads to string on pins
- thread to match ribbon
- needle
- wire cutters
- needle nose pliers
- round nose pliers
If you don't want to hang beads from the ribbon, then you simply put beads in the jar. Then cut a length of ribbon, that matches the beads, to fit the throat of your jar with a half inch overlap, hot glue it on, and your done!

If you would like to add the little string of beads, which I think adds a nice, little, extra touch, then follow the directions on the next page.
