Back to Homemade Christmas Ornaments - Step 1

Homemade Christmas Ornaments
Step 2: Ink & Emboss

Using a white pigment ink pad, swipe a curvy line along the bottom third of the front of your christmas ornament. You may need to go over it a couple of times to get full coverage.

Set your inked circle in an embossing tray or on a piece of plain paper. Sprinkle white embossing powder over the inked area. Tilt the ornament to move the powder around, making sure the inked area is fully covered.

Dump the excess embossing powder off into the tray or onto the paper. Tap the ornament very lightly to remove excess powder. You can use a dry paintbrush to gently brush embossing powder off of areas you don't want it. Pour excess powder back into the jar.

Using a heat gun, emboss it.

TIP: Don't hold the heat gun in one spot too long. When you see the embossing powder become shiny, move the gun so you don't "burn" that area, which causes it to lose it's shine and become dull.
